We are pleased to announce exciting news.....East Anglia Traction Engine Society (EATES) will be starting their Route 66 Road Run from Weeting Rally site on Monday 18th July 2022, with our Rally being held on Friday 15th through to Sunday 17th July 2022.
With many events having been cancelled for the last two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic we are very excited and hopeful that 2022 will be a year to remember. EATES Route 66 Road Run will be a delayed celebration of their 66th anniversary of being Britain’s first regional traction engine club. Starting at Weeting Rally site on the Monday they hope to run through to Thetford, then on to Bressingham Steam Museum on the first day. The following day will see the road run carry on to Forncett Steam Museum and ending at the Grange Mechanical Music Collection, the final day will head off to the Mid Suffolk Light Railway and the final stop being Woolpit Rally site. Total miles covered will be 75 and we are very happy to be supporting this road run by being the starting venue. EATES will release further details and entry forms soon. Why not become a member? Visit their website to find out more www.eates.org We look forward to being back next year!
