Please read this post about our latest 2020 Rally update..... Dear All,
Following further discussions with Rally Chariman and Trustees, it is with much sadness in our hearts we announce the cancellation of the 52nd Weeting Steam Engine Rally & Country Show. It has been a difficult decision, and although we have tried to hold off for as long as we possibly could, with current Government guidelines on the Covid-19 lockdown and social distancing, this is our only option. We have a duty of care and responsibility in these uncertain and confusing times and the health and safety of our exhibitors, traders, volunteers and the general public is a priority, especially regarding the concerns of a resurgence of the virus, and being able to maintain a covid secure site with visitors from across the country coming together, would just not be possible, nor make for a good steam rally. We are very aware of the added impact our event would have on local services, the NHS and all emergency services and do not want to further stretch their capabilities, in these unusual circumstances we are all experiencing. We very much appreciate and congratulate all key workers and their efforts throughout this current global pandemic, something that has changed the way we all live our lives and go about normal routines. We have all in one way or another put in the effort and sacrifice to stay at home and save lives. Our section leaders are aware of this decision and in due course will contact exhibitors with the option to roll over your entry to our 2021 Rally, should you so wish. Traders, Craft and Food stands will be contacted with the option of rolling over your entry to 2021 and guaranteeing your place, or a refund should you so wish. Please be aware that you will not be automatically sent an entry form if you cancel, and you will have to re-apply for the 2021 Rally. This is not the outcome that any of us involved in organising the Rally had hoped for, and we’re sure you all feel the same. The decision to cancel has been hard, but as many of you are aware this year has very much been out of the ordinary for so many all around the world. We would like to thank you all for being patient with us in making this decision, and going forward for next year we hope to come back stronger and better than ever. We wish you all the very best for the rest of the year and can’t wait to see you all in 2021, our Rally being held on 16th, 17th and 18th July 2021. Yours Sincerely Richard Parrott, Chairman and team.

Very disappointing but no surprise. Thanks to a recent conversation with Mrs Parrott I hadn't paid my rent yet but all being well I will definitely be attending next year. I presume it will be ok to use this year's form. From Linda Holmes (big china stall)
