Executive Director

Fran has been the Executive Director of Splitz Support Service since its inception in 1989 and is knowledgeable about Charity Law, Company Law and Employment Law. She is an active and passionate driving force for high quality services in the area for all people with experience of separation, divorce and domestic abuse. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. From 1999 - 2007 she served her local community as a Town and District Councillor and is an active trustee for several local charities. Fran was awarded an MBE for services to single parents and victims of domestic violence in the Queen's Birthday Honours in 2010. Fran has been married to the same man since 1979 who is still under training! They have three adult children and seven grandchildren. Four cats also seem to live in their house.

Louise Wilson FCMI Louise Wilson

Business Manager / Deputy Director

Louise spent 12 years as an RAF officer before working for a local charity where she was providing training as well as developing procedures for the fast growing charity. She started with Splitz first as a consultant in 2003, then as an employee in 2004. Louise has experience as a trustee for a large charity in Glasgow specialising in drug, alcohol and housing issues. Louise is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. Louise was appointed Company Secretary in 2013.

Rachel Wetton BA Rachel Wetton

Operations Manager

Rachel qualified as a social worker in 2000 and has since worked exclusively in the voluntary sector. She subsequently gained a first class BA in Social Work Studies and a PGC in Social Policy. Since 2003 Rachel has served in senior manager roles for regional and national charities and has a strong track record of collaboration and partnership working. Rachel has had a working relationship with Splitz since 2005 in several partnerships and as a consultant since 2013. Rachel is another member of the senior management team to share her home with cats.

Mike Bedford MBE Mike Bedford

DVPP Manager

Mike served in the Royal Army Veterinary Corps where he was awarded the MBE for voluntary Youth Work in Germany in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list in 1993. He transferred to the Army Welfare Worker in 1995. He left the Army in October 2003. Mike worked at the Hampton Trust delivering groups for men who had been convicted of Domestic Violence. He joined Splitz in July 2004 as the Children’s Domestic Violence Support Worker, working with children and young people aged 5-16 who had witnessed and/or experienced domestic abuse. In 2005 he started 2 voluntary men’s groups for Splitz Support Service for men who wanted to stop their abusive behaviour to their wives/partners. In 2012 he visited Duluth, Minnesota and Minneapolis to share information with the Domestic Abuse Information Project, which had influenced our own perpetrator programme. Mike lives with his wife Ness and their 5 cats. They enjoy biking, cooking, reading, photography, snorkelling and gardening.

Chrissy Stower Chrissy Stower

Devon Services Manager

Chrissy started her career in the NHS and won an award in 1991 for her work with women returners to the workforce. In 1996 she left to manage a charity working with vulnerable adults and children suffering from the effects of drugs and alcohol, domestic abuse and homelessness. Since then she has held senior management and board positions with a number of public and third sector organisations, before joining Splitz in July 2014. Chrissy and her husband live with their dog Bob, but love the noise and mayhem when their adult children and grandchildren come to visit.
